The Sunrise Lands[]
Vinton was included in the quest as a servant to Odard Liu. During the trip east, he revealed that he had been co-opted by Odard's mother, Mary Liu and betrayed Odard and Mathilda Arminger to soldiers of the Church Universal and Triumphant under the premise that he was keeping Odard from being slain.
The Scourge of God[]
He was later seen in a CUT camp just before the free members of the Quest rescued their comrades.
The Tears of the Sun[]
Vinton returned to the Portland Protective Association territories to tell Sir Guelf Mortimer to go to Castle Gervais and, with his sister's assistance, burn incriminating papers from the Church Universal and Triumphant. Vinton was captured by Association troops and, while undergoing interrogation, bit out his own tongue.
