Luther Finney was the owner of a farm where Juniper Mackenzie kept a wagon and two draft horses.
Following the Change, Juniper tried to convince Luther to come with her to her cabin which later became Dun Juniper, but Finney and his wife declined. Finney later rode a bicycle Salem, Oregon to collect his adult children and their families and bring them to the farm.
He became a member of the governing assembly of the Corvallis City State. Luther's son, Edward recounted to Juniper how, years later, Finney died as he wanted; he collapsed right after bringing in a harvest.
