Will Hutton was patriarch of the Hutton family.

Background

Early in life, he was a rodeo performer, but settled down to become a horse wrangler when he married Angelica, with whom he had two children, Luke and Luanne.

Key Events

Dies the Fire

Will, Angelica and Luanne were in Idaho on a trip delivering horses when the Change occurred. The family was taken captive by white supremacists. After being rescued by Mike Havel and the Larssons, he became the chief horseman of the Bearkillers.

The Protector's War

Will was supposed to come to Mike Havel's aid during the operation against Crusher Bailey, but ran into forces of the Portland Protective Association led by Piotr Stavarov.

A Meeting at Corvallis

As Mike Havel lay dying from his single combat in which he killed Norman Arminger, he named Will to be his successor as Lord Bear. Will never took up that position, remaining the ramrod of the nation.

Other

Remained the ramrod of the Bearkillers until his death in 2020.
